At WUMC, we believe children are an essential part of the church today—not just the church of tomorrow. Our goal is to create a loving, safe, and fun environment where kids can discover God’s love and grow in faith through worship, relationships, and hands-on learning.

Nursery Care

Nursery care is available every Sunday from 10:45am to noon for infants and toddlers.

Our nursery is located in the basement level—just follow the signs after entering through the glass doors near the elevator. Loving volunteers will be ready to welcome your little ones!

Children’s Church

Kids love to worship—and each child does it in their own way!

After the Children’s Sermon during the Sunday service, all children from Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to a special time of learning the Bible through an interactive approach designed just for them.

Wilmore UMC, in consultation with several parents, have decided on a shared ministry model for Youth Group under Kudzi Nyakudzi, the Youth Pastor for Wilmore Anglican Church. Kudzi has been in his current role for several years and led the youth of WAC very well.

Beginning in August, the Wilmore UMC youth and WAC youth will meet together with Kudzi as the main leader. Kudzi is committed to leading another time every week for our youth in order for them to maintain their own distinctiveness.

The Women’s Ministry provides multiple opportunities throughout the year to connect. Come to one of our book studies or a seasonal gathering to get involved. Contact Ann Sutlive with any questions or to get on the mailing list.

Caring for each other in community is an important part of being a church. Our care team helps provide meals to families in the event of a birth, death, sickness, or surgery. We also provide welcome gifts, prayer, and support who anyone who needs it. If you want to get involved in being a part of this team, contact Ann Sutlive.
